Under the HALOXVI moniker, hides the Venetian musician Gianpaolo Diacci; Born in Venice on 10 August 1964, he began to play music very young. Since his teens he has been playing with several new-wave oriented bands from the Venetian scene. (The most important are Art-Decò and Sibyl Vane, both with records and TV shows appearance). In the mean time, during a ten years span, he worked as a Dj in different clubs and as speaker/selecter on independent radio stations.
He mainly is a bassist, but plays the Chapman stick too and programs synths. Just for this passion, he has always got interested in the electronic feature of the last 40 years’ music; so in 2004 recorded a cd, for the Treviso’s label RES, called "LOST MUSIC". This CD has had good reviews from 2 famous Italian magazines, Rockerilla and Blow-up, and has conquered a good niche in the American e-commerce.
Nowadays he is happily a RAN’s member, a band formed also by two significant figures of the Italian Indies scene: Romina Salvadori (ex Estasia) and Giorgio Ricci (ex Templebeat): RAN are authors of a subtle and hypnotic electronic music.
He’s currently working on his second cd
