Alessandro Monti was born in 1960, but he appeared many times in different ages. He worked with many local musicians and artists; In 1986 and 1991 made 2 albums with Gigi Masin; he produced in 1992 a band from Portland, Oregon, called "Caveman Shoestore" on T/K LABEL. He’s currently working to the "Unfolk" project (one cd has been released in 2006 and another one is due at the end of 2007).
The music it’s a kind of unorthodox folk music played by mandolin, guitars, violin and percussion, with lots of electric/electronic interferences. He’s also working on an electronic based EP with tracks produced between 1999 and 2006.
Alessandro Monti considers "Metal Machine music" as an essential piece of work to understand the electric-generated sound.

….We had just walked out of the mirror, slowly moving in a strange obscurity. All around us scarcely visible were the walls of the tunnel. Even though inside we could barely see, far in from of us were the lights. We arrived with strain to the opposite tunnel exit, but we found out it was the same place in which we got in and we couldn’t escape the situation: we were doomed to repeat eternally the same path. So we chose to transform our physical body into sound. That is all I can remember……
